Arthur Vandyk Antiques are delighted to offer for sale beautifully modelled and highly detailed small Edwardian hallmarked silver seal in the form of an owl which is set with two glass eyes and has a base which is free of any personalisation. This wonderful and highly collectible piece of Edwardian silverware is by the celebrated firm of silversmiths Sampson & Mordan who were renowned for the items of novelty silverware and writing instruments.The details

Condition Report
In overall excellent condition, some light age related wear with surface scratches and minor tarnish marks, one of the miniature glass eyes has a rough surface, this appears to be a manufacturing error and is only visible through a jeweller's loupe.
A beautiful example of quality English novelty silverware that would make an ideal gift or a fine addition to any quality silver collection.
