This is an elegant piece of English porcelain from the era of Jane Austen.

This is a fairly early example of Crown Derby porcelain, which was established as Derby Porcelain in 1750 becoming Crown Derby in 1773, Crown Derby had an important link to the Georgian monarchs as the firm created their first ever commemorative piece for the coronation of King George III in September 1761.

Crown Derby became known as Royal Crown Derby in 1890.
