This delightful hand engraved Sovereign case has an intricate acanthus leaf decoration covering both sides, and has a vacant round cartouche.

Condition report:

In overall good condition for its age of 130 years, with some minor age related dents, scratches and tarnish marks plus some wear to the engraved decoration, the lid has a good sprung hinge and closes firmly.
