Cambridge Selwyn college versus Queens college Oxford university Tennis team photograph dated for 1914 first world war period original large group photograph of the Selwyn collage tennis team versus Queens college Oxford/ Oxon tennis team .This vintage photo was taken in 1914 has the names of the team players in the bottom margin,quite sad to think that some or all of these young Cambridge / Oxford undergraduates shown in the team photograph might have lost their lives shortly after this photograph was taken in the first world war .
The photograph was taken by Stearn & Sons photography studio Cambridge England a well known photography firm during the late 19thc / early 1900s
periods and is housed behind glass in a solid oak frame Quite rare piece of Cambridge/Oxford university tennis sporting history .
