brass face 8 day grandfather clock by James Johnston, Portsoy (Aberdeenshire) circa 1840.
the brass face with subsidiary seconds and date dial, beautifully figured mahogany case with moulded columns and rosewood crossbanding, the 8 day movement striking the hour on a bell.
other than some scuffs etc and a few old ( long dead ) worm holes to the case, this very handsome clock is in overall good condition and is in full working order.
