Picasso, a fan of the bull fight drew many scenes of the ring.. Dated March 6 1961 lower left. He then added a second date, 21 April 1961 to indicate additional work on the piece shortly afterwards. Illustrated (in black & white) inPicasso 60 Years of Graphic Works (LA County Museum of Art, 1967, p. 343).
