Art Nouveau Brass Crumb Tray by Townshend.This tray was produced bt the leading brass foundry of Townshend around circa 1894. They used a harder than normal brass sheet which enabled them to produce exotic shapes. This tray in the shape of a shell has distinctive heavily deckled edges, shaping & engraving producing a very superior item. One photo shows the registration number & makers mark.
The tray has been used as wall decoration hence the expandable wire on the back but this can be removed if required.
Condition is excellent, size 9.50" by 10.75".
