Description
Pair of George V1 Coronation Mugs.Made for the coronation of George V1 & Elizabeth, the ceremony took place on the 12th May 1937. Manufactured by Royal Doulton. The mugs show the King & Queen surrounded by flags & the Royal Crown, Orb & Septer. To the rear of the mugs there is a Union Jack & the Royal Crown. To the side is the Coat of Arms of Morecambe & Heysham.
The handle & interior of the rim are decorated with laurel wreaths. The mugs are back stamped with the Royal Doulton mark.
Condition is very good.
Size Height 7.50 cm, base diameter 7.50cm.
