Description: Antique statuary white marble sculpture depicting Marie Antoinette (1755-1793), the Austrian archduchess who would become the wife of King Louis XVI and the last queen of France.

Her face is turned slightly to the right. Her headdress made of curls and ringlets is embellished with the presence of a rose.

Her shoulders are covered in fabric, tied naturally across her chest, and leaving a lace bottom slightly visible.

On the right side of her dress there is a beautiful hanging tassel. The care and precision of the details, the finesse of the face, of her clothes are of the highest quality.

Provenance: France, late 18th century.
