Description

The French stick stand ,originally a butter churn, is beautifully carved from Chestnut wood,showing a Breton farm scene. It is staved and brass banded and fixed with both copper and brass pins . In great original condition with no damage, the bottom slightly paler where the stone floor would have been mopped around it. Probably a wedding gift.
