Here we have a stylish pair of Vintage Elizabeth II 9ct Gold Cuff Links from the 1960s. The cuff links are octagonal and chain linked. One cuff link on each pair is plain and the other has an Art Deco style sunburst design engraved onto it. The links are supplied in a modern gift box.

The cuff links are made in Leamington Spa, Warwickshire by jewellers and silversmiths Henry Griffiths & Sons and assayed in nearby Birmingham in 1964. Henry Griffith founded his firm in the 1870s, becoming Henry Griffith & Sons around 1890. They specialised in gold and silver jewellery, smoking accessories and small personal items. In 1919 they relocated to Leamington Spa in Warwickshire and remained in business until at least the late 1970s.

Condition is very good with no damage to the cuff links or chains and just the superficial surface wear that has to be expected with use and the passage of time. Please make sure to view all the photographs.

Each cuff link is 1.8cm by 1.1cm and extends 2.4cm. The pair together weigh in at a very respectable 6.3g of solid 9ct gold.

The hallmarks, on the undersides of each plate, are nice and clear to read. They show the 9 and .375 for 9ct gold, the anchor assay mark for Birmingham, the date letter P for 1964 and the H.G & S makers' mark for Henry Griffith & Sons.
