Description

A simple but elegant large Art Deco oak photo frame from the 1930s. The frame has a broad chamfered base, the supports are tall chamfered pillars and there is a flat locking bar across the top, which holds everything in place. There are two dark red felt squares on the underside of the base.

There is a single pane of glass and a firm card back which will hold a picture up to a maximum of 9.5" x 7" / 24.5cm x 17.5cm. The base is 15" / 38cm wide and 2.75" / 7.1cm deep. It stands 8.5" / 21.5cm high to the top of the locking bar.

The frame has definitely seen some use but remains in good condition with no splits and just a couple of small chips to the back of the locking bar. The wood itself has a deep colour and lovely patina after many years of cleaning and polishing. Please make sure to view all the photographs.
