Description

Here we have a very pretty Art Nouveau 15ct Gold and Seed Pearl Pendant in the Levalliere style. The pendant has the organic sweeping style that is typical of Nouveau pieces and never seems to go out of fashion. It dates to between around 1890 and 1910.

15ct Gold was a British legal gold standard introduced in 1854 along with 12ct and 9ct. It remained an approved standard until 1932 but in practice very few items were made in 15ct Gold after the First World War with the American 14ct Gold standard becoming more widely accepted around the world.

Condition is extremely good with no damage, no missing seed pearls and just the minimal superficial surface wear that you would expect with the passage of time. Please make sure to view all the photographs.

The pendant is 2.7cm by 1.5cm and weighs 2.2g.

The back of the pendant is stamped 15ct.

Shipping in the UK is £10 by Royal Mail Special Delivery, which includes cover for the value of the pendant.
Overseas customers, please ask us about shipping costs to your country before making a purchase.
