Superb Antique Georgian Mahogany Dwarf Linen Press and dating from aorund 1780. Constructed form quality mahogany with striking contrasting cross banded edges and inlays. It has a cornice top with inlaid dentil moulding above two doors each with wide cross banded satinwood edges and with inlaid shell motif to the centre and with very fine stringing to the edges. It has its original brass escucheons. Internally there are four sliding mahogany trays all of which are oak lined and to the base there are two short drawers over two long graduating drawers all of which are oak lined with original ornate pierced handles. Each drawer has cross banded edges with fine inlaid stringing. Stands on bracket feet and the top separates from the base for ease of transporting.

Measures 75.5" high x 25" deep x internal depth 21.5" x 50" wide

A truly stunning Georgian Dwarf press in very good condition with a lovely deep colour and patination to the quality mahogany oozing all the charm and character of the period.
