Description
Antique Large 17th Century Country Oak Coffer Box and dating from aorund the time of James 11 and the Restoration Period. Constructed from solid oak it has four panels to the top above an original iron lock plate and clasp with carved lunette frieze above four panels. It has panelled sides and its original rough hewn panelled back. It is hand & peg joined and stands on stile feet.Measures 22" high x 22" deep x 57" wide
In very good original condition with a lovely deep colour and grain to the oak and has a lovely deep waxed finish (not dull as the photographs show?) and oozing all the charm and character of the period.
