Description

Antique Late 18th Century Mahogany Tambor Kneehole Desk and dating from around the time of George 111 c1790. The tambor front, in very good condition has its original handles and working key above two long drawers and a short drawer either side of the shaped kneehole all of which are oak lined. It stands on ring turned legs on castors. Internally the tambor top opens to reveal a row of pigeon holes to the centre with satinwood frieze above and with three small drawers to each side with satinwood fronts the surface of the desk pulls out to reveal two long drawers and a green baize writing surface.

Measures 43" high x knee height 29" x 25" deep x 47" wide

In very good original condition with a lovely deep colour and patination and oozing all the charm and character of the period. Our furniture is cleaned and polished using traditional waxing methods.
