Description

Antique French Rosewood Double Bed and dating from around 1890. Constructed from quality Rosewood with both the head and footboards of serpentine shape with a deep moulded edge above a stunning rosewood panel with cross banded edges and with the footboard having a further moulded panel to the base with a central oval panel. It has shaped and moulded side panels and it stands on lovely stylised cabriole legs on castors and with carved acanthus leaf.
Takes a standard double mattress.

Measures 50" high to headboard x 41" high to footboard x 78" long x 54" wide

In very good original condition with a lovely deep colour and patination and oozing all the charm and character of the period. Our furniture is cleaned and polished using traditional waxing methods.
