Antique Regency Mahogany SECRETAIRE Chest of Drawers and dating from around 1820. Constructed from quality mahogany it has a rounded edge to the top above a deep drawer with two cross banded oval fronts giving the appearance of two drawers and with fine stringing in ebony. This folds down to reveal a small central door with key ( and when opened the is a small frieze drawer inside) this is flanked on either side by one long drawer above two short drawers with original knob handles and then a row of pigeon holes with shaped frieze above. It has its original green baize writing surface in very good condition. Below this there are three long graduating drawers all of which are pine lined with original brass handles and it is moulded to the base and stands on bracket feet.

Measures: 44" high x 22.5" deep x 49" wide and desk height 30"
