Description

Superb Antique Victorian Mahogany Single Wardrobe Compactum and dating from aorund 1890. Constructed from quality mahogany and attributed to the makers Shapland & Petter. To one side there is a cornice top above a a typical Shapland sunburst design of half spindles with flat half finials to either side. There is a full length bevelled mirrored door with brass handle and working key. Internally there is a hanging rail and original hooks. To the other side there is a two door glazed cabinet with original glass above a shaped frieze and open compartment leading to a deep mahogany lined drawer over two arched open compartments with shaped frieze on a turned central support. To the base there is a long deep drawer which is mahogany lined with brass handles. stands on a plinth base on shaped bracket feet.
