Superb Antique Satin Birch Half Tester Double Bed and dating from aorund 1880. This lovely bed is part of a Bedroom suite and we also have available to buy separately a matching Triple Wardrobe, bedside cabinet and Dressing Table. Please see the other items on our website ref no 7125,7127 and 7126.

This is for the sale of the bed only and is as follows Antique Victorian Satin Birch Half Tester ( Double) Bed and dating from aorund 1880. It has a deep original cornice to the canopy top ( to hang curtains from) with squared supports to either side and a later removeable upholstered headboard in a quality damask fabric. The slatted base has bolt in side rails and with a fabulous footboard with large barley twist columns joined by a central panel with serpentine shaped top rail above a half circular moulded panel with carved cartouche to the top and with further moulded panel with scalloped frieze below and standing on turned tulip bun feet.
