Offered for sale is this exquisite quality Victorian oak wardrobe/compactum/armoire. This is a top quality piece of furniture and is made of the finest quality Victorian timbers. The front panels are all of pollard oak, a rare wood used only by the best cabinet makers and in this case it is combined with inlay and cross banding of satinwood, ebony and boxwood with the side panels being figured oak. The compactum has cupboards enclosing hanging space and shoe drawers along with four graduated drawers. The central cabinet is enclosed with glazed bevel glass. This good quality antique Victorian wardrobe dates to about 1870 and is in excellent showroom condition having been cleaned and sympathetically repolished whilst retaining its original character. and maybe viewed at the Talbot Walk Antique Centre, High Street, Ripley, Surrey, GU23 6BB during normal shop hours and as it is currently on sale maybe withdrawn at any time.
