Offered for sale is this superb quality Victorian walnut telescopic dining table extending from approximately 51" x 48" to 82" x 48" with two original leaves, a comfortable 8 seater, the table will take a third leaf and extend to 96". It is a mellow brown walnut colour that would work equally well with both walnut and mahogany chairs. The rectangular top has canted corners with a moulded edge above ring turned legs with carved rosettes at the top and standing on original brass and ceramic castors. The extending mechanism is of superior quality with double runners, works very smoothly and comes complete with winding handle. The table has been cleaned and sympathetically repolished whilst retaining its original character. It is in excellent showroom condition and dates to about 1880.
