Pair of Victorian pastel portraits of young children sisters viz.Ellen Turnbull b.23rd June 1891 and Margaret Katherine Turnbull b.11th Sept.1892.Their father George Linday Turnbull was a surgeon and doctor of Ladbroke Grove,Kensington.Their mother Ellen(nee Freeman).
Contained in their original ebonised frames.
Overall measurements 33" x 28".
Artist:- Marie Seymour Lucas(1855-1921).Born in Paris.She painted domestic scenes especially children.Studied in Berlin and London.Married the artist John Seymour Lucas.She exhibited at the RA,SS.NWS and elsewhere.
