George V Tortoise Shell Jewellery Casket, by Asprey of London

An exquisite George V, sterling silver mounted, tortoise shell jewellery casket.

This stunning small jewellery casket is constructed of thin panels of antique tortoise shell, set within a delicate sterling silver frame, by J Batson & Son, London, England.

The box sits on top of 4 simple square sterling silver feet, and has a hinged dome top lid. Originally, this box was sold exclusively by Asprey, London in the early 20th century.
