Small Early 20th C. Marine Brass Sextant

A fine early 20th Century Brass Naval Sextant, in rarer small scale format.This attractive decorative piece would have at one time served as a key navigational tool for the Navy when out at sea using various mirrors and shades against the horizon to pin point their location.
The polished brass frame still features three shades, original horizon glass and index mirror. The piece can be neatly stored away within a sweet coffin shaped mahogany storage box with brass anchor emblem on the lid.
