A fine mahogany Cellarette, circa 1820.

This attractive box features many traditional 'Adam's' design cues, such as draped arabesque style floral patterns, and scroll details, particularly on the lower sculpted valance and corner bracket feet.

Proportionately, the box takes inspiration from Greek and Roman architecture, with straight lines, and simplistic design, another feature of Adam's design language.

The impressive lid, with decorative floral edge, lifts to reveal a zinc lined interior to keep bottles and refreshments cool.
