Description

A remarkable English Oak, oval gateleg dining table, from the period of Charles I.

This magnificent dining table comes with a rich patina in its oak, which comes only with pieces of this age and origin. The oval table top is held in place with oak dowels, over lathed table legs, above block feet, joined by squared stretchers. Each end leaf is supported by a gateleg mechanism, and can be conveniently swivelled underneath, dropping the ends when not in use, or for easier movement and storage.

A truly wonderful addition to a kitchen space or dining room setting.
