Description

American Civil War NCO's sword in its brass mounted black leather scabbard. Brass stirrup hilt with a ribbed brass grip. Has a straight single edged blade. Hilt and scabbard engraved 'Ian Hopper'. Blade marked as made by Ames. MFCo, Chicopee, Mass on one side and on the other side marked US AHC 1863. In good overall untouched condition with slight rust staining to blade.

Approximately 90cm overall and blade 71.5cm.
