A superb pair of elegant walnut Georgian 18th century Chippendale George Geo III style large open leather upholstered arm chairs. These late 19th century pair of library reading occasional easy sofa drawing room hall chairs retain their original leather upholstery and have been re – sprung to the base. They are very comfortable and are generously proportioned with a wonderful shape. With an elegant shaped back they are raised on cabriole shaped legs to both front and rear all carved in relief and united by an x framed shape stretcher making them very stable. Circa 1895. Excellent original condition. Measure 26”w x 40”h x 24”d ( 22”w between arms)
