Description

A superb antique late 19th century kingwood bureau plat library writing table. This French design sofa side hall centre table has a central walnut diaper with marquetry inlay of a spray of flowers the outer border with cross banding and boxwood and scrolling foliate inlays. The edge banded by a continuous gilt brass edging. A large central drawer of serpentine shaped outline and canted corners all supported on gilt bonze mounted cabriole shaped legs. Great condition. Circa 1890. Measures 40"w x 29.5"h x 24"d
