Here we have a quite stunning early Victorian Yew and Elm Windsor chair c1840. As you can see the chair has the best colour and patina we have seen on a chair. This fine quality chair has a hooped top rail with stick back and decorative central splat. There are broad arms in delicious Yew wood with lovely patina. The arm supports are beautifully turned and lead to a thick grainy Elm saddle shaped seat. Below there are exquisitely turned legs joined by a double H stretcher. A super period chair which is all Yew apart from the seat and of the most delicious colour. The dimensions are approx 110 cm high 64 cm wide 52 cm deep.
