Description

Large vintage Persian carpet c.1980. 12 feet long by over 8 feet wide. Unusual garden pattern rug featuring a symmetrical pattern with a large central plant form surrounded by a scores of smaller plant and flower devices against a rich red ground. With multiple contrasting borders also featuring plant motifs. Hand knotted with a thick soft pile. A tassel fringe at both ends and importer's label to the rear. Excellent condition with good even colour.
