Description

Impressive long walnut hall bench c.1930. 78" x 18" seat veneered in walnut with a moulded edge. On a elaborately carved base in solid walnut. With a deep shaped and carved apron raised on six carved legs with acanthus detail to the knees and large claw feet. Legs are joined with two sets of shaped and carved X stretchers with a flower bouquet carved to the central boss of each pair. Small patch repair to the seat, otherwise excellent condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
