Description

Impressive pair of large Charles II style throne type open armchairs c.1930. Backrest and seat upholstered in decorative woolwork tapestry covers woven after the great series of medieval Flemish tapestries known as ‘The Lady & The Unicorn’, and finished with large brass hobnail studs. Pale solid oak frames, the arms with carved acanthus leaf detail over twist carved arm supports, legs and stretchers. Excellent condition.
