Description

Large vintage hand painted two sided pub sign for The Duke of Cumberland c.1970. Both sides feature a hand painted image of the duke, best known for his role in the defeat of the Jacobite rebellion at Culloden in 1746, in tricorn hat and uniform. Titled with the name of the pub and also for North Country Breweries which ceased trading in 1982. Presented in the original painted wooden frame with hanging fittings.
Dimensions: width 43½”, depth 2″, height 57″.
