Description

Superb quality late 19th.c oak. Arts & Crafts style wash stand or dressing chest c.1890. Adjustable dressing mirror over a white marble wash stand with raised sides and a groove to the front edge to catch spilt water. Over two short and three long drawers. Great baronial influenced Arts & Crafts design, in natural oak. The robust construction is expressed and emphasised with the carved and chamfered detail to the horizontal and upright elements. The large steel handles and escutcheon plates are original and each retains an unusual red velvet backing. Solid oak drawer liners, side panels and back boards. Original keys. Excellent condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
