Description

Impressive pair of late 19th.c. Chinese Canton famille rose vases c.1880. Of classic baluster form standing 18″ tall, hand painted with scenes of figures alternating with bird and plant life set within a densely decorated green ground. With applied and gilded decoration around the neck in the form of guardian lions and dragons. Both vases have previously been drilled through the base for conversion to lamps and there are small chips missing from the lip of both. Otherwise a fine decorative pair of large vases in very good condition.
Dimensions: maximum diameter 7½”, height 18″.
