Description

Very large 15th.c. Flemish style tapestry panel. Measuring 81″ x 48″, depicts grape harvest and is a copy of a celebrated original hanging in the Musee Cluny in Paris. Workers are shown picking the grapes and processing into wine whilst a finely dressed lord and lady inspect the harvest. All against a highly detailed floral ground. Woven tapestry lined to give depth to the figures. In excellent condition with bright colours. Ready to hang, presented on a wooden stretcher with hardboard back for extra strength.
