Description

Late 19th.c. kitchen dresser base or sideboard c.1880. Very sturdy construction in solid teak to the top front and sides, an unusual choice of timber suggesting it was made for practical everyday use in a large kitchen or shop perhaps. Broad counter top with rounded corners and a deep moulded edge. Three drawers over an inverted breakfront base with a central bank of three drawers of graduated height flanked with large cupboards (internal depth 21″) to each side. Unusual double rounded arch panels to the doors, repeated on the sides. Retaining the original brass handles with pierced backplates across each of the doors and drawers. Raised on a moulded plinth. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
