Description

Superb 18th.c oak Welsh dresser base, North Wales c.1770. An interesting variation of the form having a row of six small spice drawers across the top. Over six larger drawers and two cupboards with a half depth shelf to each. Good early timbers, in solid oak throughout. Applied door panels typical of the Conwy valley and surrounding areas. Note the scratch carved detail to the edge of the drawer fronts and door panels. Original brass swan neck handles, backplates and escutcheons. Raised on shaped bracket feet at the front and sides. Oak panelled sides, oak drawer linings, backboards and floor. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Keys supplied.
