Description

An excellent and rare example of a late 19th century Austrian cold painted terracotta standing pug figure, with original glass eyes.
The casting is second to none and very life like, exceptional quality and of course in perfect original condition. No restoration. Like all items for sale it’s fresh to the market and from a private sale. The lady I purchased it from, had inherited it from her late father and apparently had been in her family as long as she remembered from a child and she was in her 60s.

This example is fairly rare as some appear on the market from time to time seated or recumbent but not standing like this example.
