Description

Large 19th century Walrus tusk with scrimshaw decoration,c 1860.The tusk is beautifully decorated with 5 masted ships in sail.It has taken on great colour/patina over the years.Overall condition is good.There is minor rubbing , a hole drilled into the end (I assume it was mounted onto something at one point in its life?) and small chips at both ends , but all minor and as you would expect from an old example.Please refer to the detailed photographs and feel free to contact me if you would like to view the item or have any questions.
