Huge (24kg) Named Bronze Ships Bell,1957

Description
Stunning mid 20th century named bronze ships bell,1957. I have owned a number of ships bells over the years and this is by far the largest and best. Beautifully cast it weighs 24kg and the bronze has taken on great colour/patina following years of use. It is inscribed across the waist/ main body with the name of the ship 'Harry R. Trapp'. Research online shows this was a large merchant vessel built in Sweden in 1957.She was in service under various owners / flags until she was scrapped in India in 1988.Overall condition is good in line with age and use. It is missing its clapper and the outside has marks across the lip which suggest this has been missing for a number of years and it has been struck with an object to make a sound. Please refer to the detailed photographs and feel free to contact me if you would like to view the item or have any questions.Price includes FREE UK delivery.
