Description

This delightful little travelling inkwell with its foliate engraved silver hinged lid has hallmarks for London 1845 and a makers mark for 'John Howes'. The central hinged section of the lid is secured by a silver screw with a hinged flap. The lid is engraved with a belted crest showing a demi lion rampant and the motto 'Facta non Verba' (Deeds not words). The plain glass body has a star cut base. It measures 3cm high x 3.4cm wide and is in very good condition throughout.
