Description

This superb little silver vinaigrette was made in Birmingham by the renowned silversmith, Samuel Pemberton. The hallmark, which is clear, dates it for 1808. The top is engraved with acorns and oak leaves. The base and sides have bright cut decoration. The interior is gilded and has a pierced grill depicting a bird with foliage. The hinges and fastening are good. It measures 2.6cm x 2.2cm.
