This rounded rectangular vinaigrette was made by one of Birmingham's best known silversmiths, Matthew Linwood. It has bright cut decoration to both lid and base. The gilt washed interior has a honey-combe patterned pierced grille. The hallmarks are clear for Birmingham 1806. The hinges are good and the lids fit well.
