Description

This delightful little silver nutmeg grater was made by one of the best known of the Birmingham 18th century silversmiths, Samuel Pemberton. It is cylindrical in shape with a domed cover and bright cut decoration. The base is monogrammed 'EH'. It bears a clear hallmark for the Birmingham Assay Office dated 1794. The cover and base fit well and the grater is present. It measures 3.6cm in height and is 2.3cm in diameter. Overall it is in very good condition.
