Description

Susannah Barker was first registered as a silver small worker in London in June 1778 and remained active until 1790. This nutmeg grater was produced toward the end of that period. It is clearly hallmarked for London 1787, is oval in shape with bright cut borders, hinged cover and base enclosing a steel rasp. It measures 5cm in width. Both hinges are in good condition and the covers fit snugly. Overall condition is good.
