Description

This rounded rectangular vesta case with its brightcut floral and foliate design to both front and reverse was made by William Henry Sparrow. The shield shape cartouche to the front bears the monogram 'WJ'. The interior is gilded and the hinge and spring are good. A suspension ring is fitted. A clear hallmark dates it for Birmingham 1909. It measures 4.5cm x 3.7cm and is in very good condition.
