An open bookcase dating to the Victorian period. Circa 1890, this is a useful bookcase with deep proportions. With a carved surmount and eight adjustable shelves, it has been polished and has a rich patina. The bookcase is constructed with two compartments and it is of extremely heavy and dense quality. There is precise and attractive carved detailing along the top edge and the bookcase sits on bun feet.
